Crocs would be appropriate except she steals them from Wilhelmina every time she comes over to "swim".

If the shoe fits or not, wear it!
This girl loves shoes, even when especially when they are not her own. ;-) She is learning early that we women simply cannot wear the same shoe every day. Our shoes need to match our outfits and our outfits need to match our activities and lifestyle. After all, you can't wear black work shoes with a summer romper now can you? Think it is time to take someone shoe shopping!
These two have become fast friends. Both call out the other's name over and over while pointing outside.
A little dirt never hurt
The landscaping is underway and the retaining way should be done tomorrow! This is when things really feel like we are starting to wrap up. Mighty Oak Landscapes was able to jump right in last week which was exciting, but then on the other hand we're just waiting for our kitchen cabinets to be built. That is when it feels like we'll never be done.

Happy Birthday Anne Rankin!
Look how big she is already?! And I do mean both of these beauties, since both were born on the 9th.

Roll Reversal
The dog properly "posed" for a quick photo while the usual Miss Priss was a complete mess. For a good laugh, you must watch this clip from tonight's dinner. These two always keep me entertained!
We also spent some time with the newest member of our family today. Cousin-ly love and bonding apparently is not something you are born with but is something you ease into, or at least that is how it is working in our case. After the initial "mommy and dada are holding another baby" fit, I have to say it was a successful visit. Addie was interested in her, even followed Uncle Tom to see why the baby was crying, and best moment of all "helped" him soothe her! She picked up and put the pacifier in Anne Rankin's mouth when she'd drop it. A camera obviously needs to be permanently attached to my hand at all times!

Countdown
The end of this renovation really is in our sights now. The appliances are purchased & sitting in Lowes' warehouse waiting for us, the hardwood floors are in the process of being laid & will be stained when we're out of town next weekend, and hopefully the kitchen cabinets will be ordered Monday!
