Happy Valentine's Day - I really DIG you!
Little miss is stating her independence more and more. These days it is with clothes. (I picked out the shirt while she added the strawberry sandals.) I did like the necklace choice though... she knows her colors so she did ask for the red one.

Kids Workshop
Today was the second weekend in a row for a 14-mile run, (I switched training programs and am now following good ole Hal Higdon). On long run days, Jim agreed to make a point to get out of the house so that I have a chance to cool down and chill before jumping back into mommy-mode, aka "hold me" mode for Addie. This usually means tagging along to Home Depot which is daddy's favorite store.
Background: Jim has been in the process of beefing up the garden. (The materials from the old deck are now two raised garden beds and a compost bin.) Currently he is building a small greenhouse in order to start seeds. Check back in the spring when I plan to be bragging on all the yummy vegetables we have!
This weekend's trip to Home Depot resulted in a fun surprise for everyone. We discovered the first Saturday of every month is a Free Kids Workshop, Addie enjoyed craft time & brought home her own orange apron, and I received my first Valentine! (The workshops are designed for ages 5-12 years but she rocked it!)

| She requested black paint... which the instructor had to go out and find. Ha! |
