Polo dress, pajamas & Keens were the perfect combo for today! Is there any question who added what to the ensemble? (PS - this seems to be her official "cheese" pose but the tongue out is new.) Little ham!

First Haircut!
Pictures are not great but the little one absolutely WAS! She was undoubtedly concerned about the new experience but after watching other people go and agreeing to wait to eat goldfish once she was in the "chair", she was awesome. I am so proud of my big girl! (Even more so after watching other parents let their kids run around the salon.) We will certainly visit Pigtails & Crewcuts again.

Corporate Cup Crew
This is one impressive bunch! Four ran 7 miles before the race, four have kids (one is just a 12-week old), one is pregnant, two have major injuries going on and the birthday girl set a personal record! We celebrated all of this with cupcakes and a much deserved lunch out with our biggest supporters - thanks husbands!
Not pictured: Ashleigh - who had to leave to go to work a 7-hr shift!)

A picture is worth a thousand words
There is no way to sum up all that is going on in this picture, which is why this post has more "labels" then probably necessary. It just falls under so many categories and I love it!

Sweet Inspiration
I am in the middle of planning a baby shower and as I have been looking for cake inspiration, debating whether to make or purchase items, I was introduced to something completely opposite! You won't be able to stop looking through all theses disasters. Warning - some of them are not for polite company!

They do devote one day a week to amazing cakes so before leaving the site be sure to check out Sunday Sweets to redeem your faith in bakeries.

Mommy's Little Helper
I talk about running a lot but if you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle then exercising and eating right go hand-in-hand. This leads me to a confession... I admit to being one of those strange people that actually enjoys shopping for groceries, that is when I can go solo and take my time. I read labels, check out new products and compare prices. (I like to get good deals.) However this scenario rarely happens. When my side-kick is with me, which is most of the time, I spend the time averting her attention from fruit squeezes & yogurt and attempt to explain to a 2 year old that it is not time to eat just because we are surrounded by food and that we have goldfish at home. This is why trips to the grocery store fall under the chore category. That is unless we are shopping at EarthFare. First off, I stock up on all my favorite dairy-free products, 2, I love knowing whether I read a label or not anything I pick up will have no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, sweeteners, fats (high-fructose corn syrup), growth hormones, etc, but the real reason it is a pleasure to go there is they have these shopping carts! Volunteer to Shop
This weekend was one of my favorite ways to stock up on things for Addie - Harris YMCA's Kids Konsignment Sale. As always, I volunteered for it which grants access to shop at the preview sale. (It is a massive event and that is only way I care to shop it!) While I spent more then any previous year I know these two items alone would have cost me at least as much as I spent on everything, which besides clothes included several games, blocks and an art easel! (The things that I get excited over?!)
