Hand-Me-downs

Since Addie will be taking over the current guest room, it was necessary to take all the clothes out of that closet. I told myself I could not move any item into my closet without trying it on and really plan to wear. So my new project begun - go through and purge my closet of things I need to stop hanging onto. I finally admitted that I am not going to take business attire to get altered. Even if they fit better, I can wear yoga pants to work for goodness sakes! I also certainly do not need to have bridesmaid dresses from weddings 10 years ago. Pictured to the left, Addie is modeling a windbreaker I wore in high school, YES HIGH SCHOOL! {Stop the hording tendencies!}

First I donated a few dresses to Prom Project. Then I took a huge stack of clothes to JT Posh, a high end consignment shop, to sell. While they only took 4 items, 3 have sold and I made an easy $54.  I took that same stack to Clothes Mentor but they had similar high standards so only made $9 on a single sundress. {I have now seen the light!} None of the original stack of clothes were allowed back into my closet! I have started trying on more and more things and have 2 new stacks forming... one for consignment and another for Goodwill. Not to be dramatic, but it is very freeing!

Countdown

I realize I have yet to write a blog post about my injury and I mean to but all my readers (which can be counted on my fingers) have some idea what happened and much prefer to see pictures of Addie anyway. However, my Welcome Packet & Runner Passport arrived today from the BAA. I truly am so excited but thank goodness PT had literally just cleared me to try and run or I might have totally freaked out! Ahhhh, 24 days til Boston!

I wanted to share information on how to stay updated on my progress come Marathon Monday. I know it is an accomplishment just to qualify and completing the race with my injury will be as well but I am still embarrassed knowing just how slow I will be! Still I have had an amazing support team to share this journey with me so I "run" this for you as well.

The easiest way to track me along the course is with the AT&T Athlete Alert. I am scheduled to start at 10:35 AM and then you will be notified when I cross the 10K, half-marathon, 30K points and (hopefully) the finish line. I already set up Jim's phone simply by texting my 17687 (my bib number) to 345678.

Princesses & Paint

Elsa uses powertools and she also paints! Who knew?! I agree with Sophia the First and believe that ANYTHING can be a princess thing. I love her enthusiasm to help.

The walls are done but all the furniture is a whole different ballgame. It needs to be sanded, primed and eventually painted. We're moving right along but that is going to take a lot of time. I did find knobs that I like and won't break the bank. Hooray!

Flower Girl

No you are not seeing double... she will be in two weddings this November! Yes that means Molly and Lane have set a date - 11/29/14! The unexpected news is that she will also play the role of flower girt the first weekend in November for her favorite babysitter's wedding.

She is very excited and manages to associate things with getting married more often then I would have expected. "I think the flower girl should be pink" and a moment later she walks over wearing this flower head piece. She has no idea what she is actually in for.
