Love Taps

Almost two years old and in so many ways, Addie is such a big girl but today I was reminded that she is still a baby. Hitting another child and being put in timeout... not a celebrated first for the baby book!

Why don't toddlers just automatically know things?! For example, hitting is mean and hurts! Well we do encourage her to clap, stomp, throw a ball and high-five?! And guess it isn't that far removed from whacking me or Teva but I am not excited for this part of raising a child. So far, the advice out there is to be calm because she doesn't mean to act badly. I think sometimes she absolutely does! Miss Addilyn really is sweet and my little lovebug but she also has a temper! The weekend away did throw us all off our routine but that was not a report I was thrilled to get today.
